Fall Social Rewind!

This year's Fall Evening Social was held at Meditrina in Salt Lake. There was a group of around 15 which took up a whole side of the intimate restaurant.

We ate, we drank, we played a clever IAP2 game, ate and drank some more, won prizes and mingled the whole time. It truly was a wonderful experience with some of the best PI people in the business.

Thank you to the board for putting together such a great fun-filled evening! And thank you to all who came!

Here's some pictures from the evening. We hope to see you all at our next upcoming event. We'll keep you posted!

IAP2 USA Monthly Practitioner Call Kick Off on Monday!

IAP2 USA is rolling out the first of several upcoming monthly practitioner calls.

Practitioner calls are simply phone conferences intended to provide an informal environment for public participation practitioners to come together, ask questions, share experiences and help each other with advice.

Currently, these calls are for members only. The first inaugural call is set for this Monday, December 5, 2011 at 11am Pacific time (12 noon for Mountain Time).

For more info or to RSVP and receive call in information, click HERE.

This will also be a great way to meet fellow practitioners from across the country. See you there!

Defending the Twitter-verse

Social media has become a prominent part of our society. Many of us visit some sort of social media site on a daily basis, often several times a day.

As many of you know, Twitter is one such site in which people can log on and "tweet" in 140 characters or less about their everyday lives, thoughts, news, etc.

Trying to get some on the social media bandwagon can be a hard, uphill battle. As a co-worker once put it, "it was like bearing my testimony." So for those of you who have had to explain the inter workings of Twitter, or if you will soon find yourself in those shoes, check out this helpful tool. It's chock full of visual aids too!

Enjoy!
